Hi Donalee, there are 2 service packs released for Blackboard 9. In general in a service pack no new features are included, but it contains merely fixes for known issues. Though for SP2 some new functionalities are included. On Behind the Blackboard you (or your system administrator) can find the release notes for each Service pack. In that document

Hi Danny, it looks like something is not going well on your institutions Blackboard server. Since the Dr. C's don't have access to your institutions server you should contact your institutions helpdesk and provide them with the error-ID. The Blackboard system administrator can use this ID to investigate the problem in the log files. Hope this

Hi Danny, yes, the Blackboard system admin at your school. But in many institutions these administrators are working hidden in the background and you can't contact them only through a central helpdesk :-) Henk

Hi Nancy, This is indeed a very often used workaround for having text next to an image. Hi Robert, what has been done in the example link you send with your question is that in those courses the Blackboard guest (username: guest) has been enrolled in the role of guest. That way you can offer on the My institution page a list of courses where this user (the guest) has been enrolled in. It does not prevent a guest from going into the course

Hi Lars, I'm afraid this can't be done. A Blackboard course consist of records in the database and files stored on a server. In case f.i. files are deleted and you set back the database, the file will still be missing on the server. So the only option is to set back a database backup, but that will take your whole institution 2 days back in

Unfortunately this isn't possible. It's a request that I've seen often. At this moment there's no option to set permissions to a subset of actions within the grade center. This means that when a user has access to the grade center from the control panel he/she has all privileges within the grade center. Henk

Hi Adriana, the Dr. C's don't have any connection to your institutions Blackboard servers. Therefor we can't do anything to solve this problem. I think you'd best contact your institutions IT department or helpdesk Henk

Hi Ian, the color of the font can be easily changed by using the color picker behind the choice: choose color of name. When you click the 2 down arrows you can choose another color for the name of the item. Changing the font isn't an option provided in the interface. But there's a workaround for as long as it will not be disabled by Blackboard
