We use an instructional design solution here. We number all assignments before we title them. So assignments are 1.1 Biograph, 1.2 Organizational Development, etc. This helps us (the ID team I oversee) to more quickly setup the grade center and it forces the assignments into order even for the students. I do not see another way to achieve what you want

We have found that after we upgraded to 9.1 SP10 that the student grade center rearranges based on the last item they turn in. Could this be what is happening to you?

All, I talked to the developers of Goals at Blackboard World 12 and they stated that for the Goal Reports to run it can take up for a day to build the initial reports. The solution wasn't a reboot, just waiting. The developers also mentioned server settings that could speed up this delay. Contact Blackboard if you want to speed up the delay to run

Reboot of our testing server corrected the issue. I wasn't going crazy.

I am trying to test the Goals option in SP8. I have read everything I can find, but no matter what I do, I can't get a report to run that shows me any results. I believe the problem has to do with the fact that I can never select the Goal Set when I try to run a coverage or course performance report. Can anyone suggest why these options are unavailable

When we use the interactive rubric we usually associate it to the assignment (or discussion, journal, blog, wiki, etc.) tool instead of at the grade book level. We never have had the problem you are mentioning. You might try this and see if it solves your issue.

This is me just theorizing, I haven't tried it. If you used adaptive release on your Captivate project you could make it initially viewable to the student. Once the student completed the captivate project you could have the project populate a grade center column with a score of 1 and this could trigger the adaptive release to make the content unavailable

You can add ratings to post. If you do this you could indicate that each star meant something else. 1 - star instructor post 2 stars did not meet requirements 5 stars post met requirements. This would give you a bit more visual aid help and would be visible to everyone. Students would be able to rate using the star system as well, so you would need

Blackboard isn't going to know the difference between an original post and just a comment to an original post. This is something that a human is going to have to decipher. My suggestion is to create clear instructions. Tell students to pick one of the forums and post an original post. In the forum that they don't post an original post they should
