Hi Allison, Both synchronous solutions are powerful, however, only Bb Collaborate will have the deep integration with Blackboard. Some of the integration includes: the ability for faculty to easily setup a live session directly through their course in Blackboard, students can have the opportunity to create breakout groups, and also Collaborate integrates

Greetings! I don't believe there is a way to do this in the current version of Blackboard. I do think this is a valuable idea and I think our faculty at our college would like this too. Please submit an enhancement request at: http://suggestions.blackboard.com The only other idea I have is to see if there is a tool that can do this type of assessment

Hi Herbert, Courses can be set up a little differently based on the instructor's preference. Typically, when you click the Discussion Board link you are brought to a list of forums in the course. When you click on a specific forum you should then see a list of posts by users. If you click a post link/subject title you can read and also reply to

Hi Kyle, Are you using the Notifications Dashboard? Under the Alerts area you can "Edit Notification Settings" to be notified when any of those events occur. What I'm not sure (because our campus doesn't use the "messages" feature and instead we use our campus email system) is if the messages tool is an option. Sincerely

Hi Pat, What an awesome idea! Unfortunately I haven't seen anything like this in the system as pre-populated so I'm afraid it would have to be built. Please submit this to: http://suggestions.blackboard.com as we could benefit from this as well at our college. Sincerely, Eric

Hi Neil, I don't believe this is possible with the current tool as it exists. This is a great idea though and I have heard of some work in this area in the product roadmap so that sharing rubrics is much easier across courses. It may be possible to build a template course with a series of example rubrics and give faculty access to the course. Or

Hi Julia, It definitely should have been processed by now. I would recommend checking with your instructor to see if they have a view of the report. Your instructor could also clear you attempt so that it could be resubmitted in case there was a technology issue. Finally, if your paper wasn't submitted in a format that is readable by SafeAssignment

At our school we have worked with faculty as Mike mentioned over the years. Our current recommendation when working with faculty is to ensure that there is a starter post for the thread with a prompt for the students. Either the instructions or a specific post to reply to with questions. One of the nice features in SP9 is that instructors can change

Hi Lianna, By multiple answers do you mean a multiple choice type of question with more than 1 answer? If so, yes this will be auto-scored in Blackboard. Essays would have to be manually graded. As a trial you can run the test as a preview as an instructor to see how it functions. That is probably a good idea to be sure things are set correctly. Sincerely
