Hi Harold I'd already set up the Journals for them - the problem that I ran into was the fact the grading forms don't seem to be usable on posts you've created yourself. Getting them to grade others' posts etc., wasn't a problem. Just doing their own. From what I've seen, thoguh, I've an idea that the newer versions of BB

Hi I have just had some students use the grading forms to review each others' work - and to comment on it. THat was more or less OK, but for a couple of issues: 1: They were limited to 1,000 char comments, fine for most, but some had a lot to say. (Got round it by getting them to create a second message) 2: Word wraps ... or rather they don't

Managed it ... with a bit of a work round. I've just created a group per student - and their own discussion boards each. Next, I created a single post - saying "My personal review" - and made that reviewable - and posted it to all the boards. (Is there a way of copying to multiple boards?? Holding down CTRL [Windows] didn't let me

I've created a grading form, as I want the students to both Peer & Self Review their work. It's not quite ideal, as the work they're doing is paper based, but I can get round it by telling them to start a discussion post & just put "my work" or similar in it - then their peer can use the grading form & the comments

Just a thought - are they showing up in Student view when you're logged in as a member of staff, or are they showing up for the students themselves? I've not had that particular problem - if things say hidden in build view, they don't appear to me when I'm in student view. I've not actually looked at it from the point of view of

Hi, I've noticed that I keep getting an error saying that I've got an unrecognised version of Firefox - and on checking the browser compatibility page, it's not actually listed FF 3.6 as having been tested at all. As it happens, it's not a problem & appears to work fine; however, it's one of the browsers we have on offer at Uni

How had they attached it? To a discussion board post, or something else? My inclination would be to save it to my local computer & then to double click on it; if that didn't trigger a browser to fire up & open it, then I'd make sure I'd got a recent copy of Flash installed & hopefully the re-installation would trigger the browser

I didn't have a Behind Blackboard identity before ... I can see that most of the old messages have been forwarded to here, but when i went to "my messages", or something like that, it only (obviously!) knew about those I'd created on the new boards, not those I'd previously created with my "Ask Dr. C" account ... I'm not entirely convinced about the new forums ... while I think that having a community can be useful - it's also a pain to have to enter similar information in lots of different places. ... However, my main question is, is it possible to merge the old & new identities? Sorry if I got this in the wrong forum ... there doesn't seem

It's me again - but now I've got a new account I guess I may'nt be seen as me ... I've now just installed the latest version of Impatica on my computer. I've created a "New Impatica" & it's working fine with the latest version of Java. I then tried to create a "classic" ... but that's not working with
