we lost options to open documents in a new window in a learning module can anyone help as to why we lost the option, this happens with current content or creating new content there is no option???? thanks Arne

we installed on test server and worked fine except that in IE (8.0) it would not strip the fonts... in FF and Chrome it did, the new editor in SP 10 has an erase formatting which is way easier... cheers, Arne

Thanks for the reply Michael, we know of another institution that has reset this so it shows both ID + Name I wonder if there is another way I will try to contact the intituition to see how they tweaked this ..

I have a problem where inside a section if a user needs to copy/move an item (for example) into another section the drop down ("Destination Course") will show only the course name, so if you have multiple sections of a specific course you will see 5 "introduction to Biology" and not know which is the section you want to copy... Yes we also have the building block "Section Merge Tool" the good thing (from what I can see) is it allows you to disassociate courses as well as add courses... I was just curious if anyone had looked to the benefits and issues with the Block versus the SP8 built in feature, as it seems the block has more maneuverability... cheers, Arne

I just niotice in SP 8 there are 2 ways to merge sections... one by creating a merged section on the fly (create Course) and adding the child courses at the same time and the other way using the Section Merge Tool in admin... they give different symbols when course spaces are merged and they are quite different to create... is there an advantage to

I have a priveledge adaptive release question. I know groups will restrict a user to that specific group they are enrolled in for discussion (assuming discussions is used) If a discussion is added to a content area (ie for faculty) and is adaptively released to a faculty group... how do you restrict students from this... for example if in another area
