To use the weighting as you are wanting to use it, you will need to make your points possible for each assignment the same. The reason the weight is coming out to a 69% is that you are weighting points and not percentages where you are giving 60% of the grade to the 60 points and 40% to the 81 points. They are not on an equal scale.

Hey Josh. The Doctors here in the forums do not have access to individual schools and their accounts. Therefore, you will need to contact the instructor of the course that is missing, or your school's IT support team to see what the issue might be.

Alyssa, I am interested in why your local support desk could not help? Registration information is handled by your school. They should have been able to check the system or at least have you contact the school's Registrar to ensure you are still enrolled and/or your instructors. Some schools use an automated process to handle the enrollments based

Hi Tosha. Unfortunately, nothing :( I know this does not help for now, but from now on, when composing such a long response, type your response in a word processor such as Word and then copy and paste into Blackboard.

Hi Lianna, For me, I was able to come back here to the site, click my name in the upper right hand corner of the screen, then click Edit User where I am able to change my password. However, I do not know if this is available to everyone or only the Ask the Doctors group.

Any chance you could contact your school's Blackboard Admins to have them review the access logs to see if she indeed did come back to continue or if she clicked to start a new attempt?

Sarah, I have also had students state this and as an instructor, I will often give them the benefit of the doubt especially if they can send me the file and I can verify that the date the file was last edited was before the due date. I am not sure what causes the issue you noted, other than possibly the server timing out before your submission is finished

Dana, Provided that the course has notifications set up for assignment submissions, it should be the same as any other notification -> instantaneously.

Jae and Stephanie, just as a follow up, if you were not able to turn something in during a down time, please be sure to follow up with your instructors, perhaps even sending them the assignments that were due via email to prove you had the work done.
