Mike, Thanks a lot for your reply. No, the student doesn't have a Grade entered for that column. So, you mean Blackboard will send a past due notification to the students if they didn't receive a grade before column due date? How about the column category? Does it applies to all the categories...

Blackboard 9.1 Notification Question
Hi, A student reports that she receives messages from Blackboard saying her discussion post was overdue but she posted before the due date (March 1st); the due date in Grade Center column is March 4. The instructor doesn't set up any rules in the early warning system. Anyone has ideas where the message...

would you mind sharing how you did it? I'm a student and I would like to receive an email every time my professors post an announcement. I have one professor who refuses to use email and that is the only way he communicates with us. We miss assignments all the time because I don't have the internet...

Notifications and Due Dates
I have added due dates to all of my assignments. I thought students would then see that an assignment is due when they change to that date in the To Do module. What do I have to do to make that work? We are using 9.1 suite.

Learning Unit and Notification Dashboard.
Hello, We have a course where de students can't see an Assigment at the To Do Module even if the Due date is close or in the recently past. But I think the assigment doesn't record in the To Do Module because is within a Learning Unit. Do you know if an Assesment or an Assigment within a Learning...

Email notification of announcements
I would like my students and teaching assistants to receive email notification of announcements. What do I need to do to enable this? What will my students and teaching assistants need to do? Jeannie

Hi Melissa - it is in the Create Announcement area, right under the "Select Date Restrictions". If you aren't seeing the option, is your email function turned on in your course and/or does your account have an email address associated with it?

Hi Melissa - when you create an announcement there is an override notifications option. By checking this option box, an email with the text of the announcement will be sent to all users in the course.
