In 9.1, I see no way to email announcements to students as they are created. Can anyone help?

mail to my outlook account
Is ther any way of linking my college email account to my messages so when a student sends me a message through Bb it will automatically go to my college email? I hate not having message notifications! Lisa

How to forward announcements as emails to students for one course
Hello! I am a system administrator in my company's BB. One instructor wants her announcements to be sent to students as emails each times she posts one. However, I do not want to change the default for all of the courses system-wide because other courses do not need this function. Can I modify this...

would you mind sharing how you did it? I'm a student and I would like to receive an email every time my professors post an announcement. I have one professor who refuses to use email and that is the only way he communicates with us. We miss assignments all the time because I don't have the internet...

subscribing all users to RSS feeds from discussion boards
Is there a way to automatically subscribe all students (or all users) to an RSS feed from the discussion boards. I know how to turn on the subscribe and have the users subscribe individually. ernie weeks

Hi Melissa - it is in the Create Announcement area, right under the "Select Date Restrictions". If you aren't seeing the option, is your email function turned on in your course and/or does your account have an email address associated with it?

Hi Melissa - when you create an announcement there is an override notifications option. By checking this option box, an email with the text of the announcement will be sent to all users in the course.
