Why are all test attempts showing in Grade Center when I checked "Grade Last Attempt"?

Hi there,

In setting up assessments in Blackboard 9.1 (Service pack 7 Hotfix 1), I set it to allow multiple attempts with a max of three attempts.  I then checked "grade last attempt" when setting up grade center.  However, students just took the first test and all attempts are showing up in grade center.  My assumption was that, by clicking "grade last attempt", only that attempt would show in grade center.  Am I mistaken, or is there something wrong in Bb?

Thanks for any help you can give!

Jeanne

Jeanne,

The "Grade Last Attempt" option controls which attempt is used to determine the final grade for that test in grade center calculations.  However, it does not prevent other attempts from being visible if you look under Grade Details or View Attempts, either in the instructor's Grade Center view or the student's My Grades view.
