I have a newer laptop that I can not use for Blackboard 8, I have to use my old laptop. Can you tell me what to do to the newer computer to make blackboard 8 run? Blackboard 9 works fine on it.

What seems to be the issue? It sounds like you may be missing a browser plugin that you need, especially if you can get to newer versions. Have a look at http://kb.blackboard.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=25368489 to see if you are missing anything.
For some reason when I logged in with the newer laptop it didn't give me the error message. I am not sure if it was the new hope page or what but it is working now for me. Thanks Kathy
