is it possible to change or migrate a blackboard database servers and application server to a new domain?

is there any steps that i can follow how to do it?

is there any implications or problem that may occur with the connection of database server and application servers?

Thank you.

Leo,

I've never seen any specific documentation on the process, but I'd guess that it's possible.  Since the Blackboard application server uses a local MS-SQL account rather than Windows authentication to communicate with the database server,  I don't think there are any particular implications for that connection.

However, depending on how you have the application server set up--what accounts you are using to run the services, which one has ownership of the files in the content directory, and so forth--there might be implications to changing the domain there.  You might open a ticket with Blackboard support to see if they have any particular advice on things to look out for.
