After the installation of Service Pack 8 to our Blackboard 9.1 Environment, chat rooms no longer show the user's first and last name. The chat tool only shows usernames when identifying users. I this a normal thing that comes along with SP8 or can I change this?

Others have also seen this, and there does not seem to be a place to change it. Have a look at this earlier thread: http://discussions.blackboard.com/forums/p/52167/160653.aspx#160653. You may need to open a ticket with Blackboard to see if they've come up with a fix yet. I don't see anything at all about it in the Known Issues or Knowledgebase on Behind the Blackboard.
