I am looking for the best place either in the database or in the admin tab where I can see a listing of all patches that have been applied to my system. I know where to locate system upgrade information like this and when the last change to the .config file, but I was looking for a documentation of all patches and hotfixes by date.

In version 9.1 Learn under System Admin tab, under tools and utilities

Select

System Configuration

Then select system information for a history of past installations of patches/hotfixes, etc.

Unfortunately System Admin > System Configuration > System Information only shows updates performed via a Blackboard installer, not patches applied with the BbPatch utility.

To find a list of patches applied with BbPatch (as all patches for the last several  versions have been), you need use the command line, go to where you have the BbPatch utility installed, and run "bbpatch list".

An overview of BbPatch, including links to the documentation, is available on Behind the Blackboard at https://blackboard.secure.force.com/btbb_TSGArticleView?Id=50170000000WYP0AAO&RecordType=01270000000Hip5AAC

That sounds like very helpful info, but that link is dead. Can you direct me to where I can find that info on the site?

I can't find the link anymore, either.  There are some nice things about the new Behind the Blackboard, but finding and referencing KB articles is a pain!  I'd suggest opening a ticket with Blackboard to get the most recent BbPatch documentation--that's what I just did.

Hi Laura

Note that patches are something you have to install, if you never applied them ,you will not find anything using the command that mike mentioned, and you should be careful with patches , and it is preferred to apply them first to a test instance before going to PRO one

HI laura

what you mentioned have nothing to do with patches, the only way is as mentioned by mike, patches are urgent fixes for some issues which can't wait till next Service Pack
