Hi, Dr. C. I have created a system announcement, I checked the option of Show in Courses and Organizations as Yes. However, the announcement does not show in the Course Announcement. It only shows up in the My Announcement section. Can you tell me how to fix this so it will be shown with the rest of the course announcements?
Even after I turned off the Edit mode, the system announcements will not be displayed. I logged in as a student and still cannot see the system announcements.
Notice that if you are looking at Announcements in a course with the Edit mode turned off, there are buttons in the right that let you select "Institution", "Course", or "View All" announcements. You will only see system announcements if you select "Institution" or "View All".

Not that I'm aware of. The default seems to be "View All" if they are viewing the Announcements tool in the course (so system announcements would show up), but if they're looking at "My Announcements" from a course home page it only shows course announcements for that course.
I have checked and our course announcement is showing the Course annoucement. How can I change that to View All systemwide?
That is an individual user setting. As far as I know, there's no way to set it system-wide.
Just to clarify, the behavior seems to be different if the student goes directly to Announcements in the course ("Course" announcements is the default), or if they start in the "My Announcements" module on a course home page and then select "More announcements..." ("View All" is the default).
If you only choose "Show at login" for the system announcements, it does not seem to show up in announcements within courses even when using "View All".
