What is the size limit in words for an Essay type question?

I think the limit on the text editor is something like 32,000 characters, based on the data filed where the data is stored. However, remember that that character count also includes hidden formatting characters. That can be significant, particularly if students are pasting from MS Word into the essay question, since the formatting can take up several times as much space (and use several times as many characters) as the visible text.
