Any way to audit when I originally viewed a thread?

I've been given a poor grade by my instructor because (as he claims) I didn't read a discussion thread promptly enough. I know this isn't true.

I'm sure the blackboard system keeps a log of when I originally accessed a thread as a way to determine if there are new posts. How can I see the day when I originally accessed a thread? Being able to present this data would change my grade from a B to an A in the class.

The database will have that information, but it's not accessible to students or instructors.  A system administrator would have to run a query to find out that information.  He or she would need to know your user id, the course id, the time frame in which you say you read the thread, and the name of the forum.

However, instructors have no way of seeing when students view a thread.  Perhaps the actualy requirement was to reply to the thread by a partiuclar time?
