as the title suggests, after submitting a response in a discussion thread, is there a way to edit your post to rid it of mistakes? it seems a rudimentary feature that is implemented on even the most basic of forum websties.

Thanks

Michael,

The Blackboard discussion board definitely has the capability to allow users to edit their posts.  However, the instructor may turn that ability on or off in the course discussion boards.  If you don't see an "Edit" button next to "Reply", "Quote", and "Set Flag" when viewing your post, then the instructor has decided not to allow users to edit their posts after submitting them.
