Generic Exception - Fail to create content page

Hi,

 

I am trying to add Powerpoint (.pptx) files to a Lecture Notes folder in Course Content. When I browse my computer to upload the files, it brings up the error "Generic Exception - Fail to create content page". This happens in multiple courses, and also with PDF files. This is my first time trying to upload something. Let me know what I could possibly be doing wrong.

I fixed my problem. I needed to be using IE instead of Google Chrome.

I am having the same problem. A colleague uploaded a pdf file which is embedded as a link in an html page in WebCT. Attempting to open the link generates the following error with both Safari 5.1 and Firefox 3.6.22 on Mac OS X 10.6.8:


Error

Generic Exception-Postcondition failed: PageLOManager returned from creation must not be null

 

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
