The rubrics provided with the textbooks almost always have many more than the basic 3 grading criteria and I want certain criteria to appear on each assignment to be graded. Is there any way to create a basic grade sheet and then copy it to be edited for subsequent use? Is there any way of importing the grading criteria from an existing rubric document (seems the text publishers primarily provide them in MS Word documents).

You can add as many criteria you need in the Grading Form Tool.
Unfortunately there is not a way tocopy a grading form from one class to the next. Best option I have found is to open up two window. One with the existing Grading form and the other with the new grading form open. I then just copy and paste between the two windows.
