We would like to remove the "Other" buttons from the New Course Setup page. Do anyone know the variables that we need to change or create and the values to assign.

I don't have access to 7.3 right now and it's been a couple of years since we moved to 7.4 But.... I think where you need to look is in the permissions area. I don't think you'll be able to remove them for Administrators, but for system editors where you define their permissions is where I'd look to take away rights related to creating categories. With 7.3 this is going to mean defining the right for each course editor unfortunately, if it even works to do this. With 7.4 I think you can define those permissions on a more global scale.
If you allow faculty to create courses I don't know that you'll be able to take away the option button.
Sorry this is not a complete answer but it's the best I can provide. Someone else on this site might have more information to add.
