We use CE 6 (what was webct 6).
We have students saying that they entered an answer but it wouldn't save. The system prevents students from not giving an answer and hitting the save answer button and students can only submit questions without an answer at the end and there is an warning. However when I look at the student's log it look like they did try to save the answer. This happened for questions 10 and 15...these answers do list the last action as them being saved (and you can't save blank answers) but the answers for these 2 questions do not show up on the submitted assessment. Any ideas? Thanks!
Michelle
I have not seen this issue before but you may want to check and see if these two questions have any special characters in either the question titles or in the question answer.
I have seen special characters cause issues in either place in a quiz question.

Thanks. Here is basically what the questions looked like. I didn't see anything that should effect it.
Here is one question title Test 2 T/F #4
The question looks like this (but has been changed)
Question
Phil wins a contest and says "I won!" This is an example of someone who won.
a t/f question
HTML was check but not used. There were other students who took it without issue.
Characters such as # and & in titles can sometimes cause strange things to happen.
The questions did work for other students. I guess im trying to figure if it was possible that the student did something to make this happen so we can tell tell students to do or not do something to make sure it doesn't happen again. Or that if it it is the test or the question or the system if there is a way to prevent it. thanks.
