We are a Blackboard Vista 8 university and one of our instructors is asking about surveys that she has created. When the survey is taken the "clock" or "timer" appears as if there is a time restriction on the survey. However, she's confirmed that she's checked the "Unlimited" option for the survey, so she's not sure why individuals taking the survey are seeing the clock.
Again, the survey is set up with the "Unlimited" option, but this could be the "Unlimited" option for the number of times the test can be taken and not the duration. She's set up the survey so the users have seven days to complete it.
I've searched the Dr. C archives and other websites, but I'm not finding anything on how to set up/create a survey where there is no clock or timer that appears when the users try to complete it. Is the clock appearing because of the seven days they have to complete it? Is there some setting buried in a different location from the "Assessment" tool, etc. Basically, why is it not painlessly obvious for an instructor to set up a survey where no clock or timer appears during completion.
