Whenever I assign a number score to an Assignment in Blackboard CE8 (after grading an assignment of the student), students can see it immediately if they click the "Graded " tab in their Assignment tool. I want students to be able to read the comments but NOT the number score. I want them to only read the letter grade in their "My Grades". I do this by adding a "Letter Grade" column in Gradebook that is based on the assignment number score. Then I hide the number score column so they can only view the letter score column.

Hi David,
In Bb "WebCT" Vista/Campus Edition, there is no option to "not display" an assignment grade like we can for assessment quizzes but still have the grade appear in My Grades as recorded in the Grade book.
Your only option where no grade is displayed in a "Graded Assignment" is to create an assignment and NOT check "Allow the assignment to be graded". You would then manually create a column in the Grade Book and manually enter the grades into the column in the Grade Book instead of in the Assignment Dropbox.
The other option is to create a graded assignment, give the student a "C/I" (complete/incomplete) and then the actual grade in a manually created column in the Grade Book.
Cheers,
Bob
