We assist our faculty and do some of the backend settings for Blackboard (on the System Admin panel)

Can anyone tell me whether they've had to "redo" the settings on the System Admin Panel (such as the login screen and other permissions) after upgrading from 9.0 to 9.1?  I know it took a while to go through all of the pages to do this after our system admin did the original install of 9.0.

Thanks,

I know this doesn't answer your question completely (I don't have system admin rights), but when applying the 91 service pack, the the icons reverted back (and our system admin had to change it back to what we wanted), but most of the other system admin changes remained.  Good luck with the upgrade.

Hi Tom,

There are a number of things that revert back to defaults.  Permissions is one of them.  We ave portal-direct-entry (you get the portal page instead of a login page) and this sticks.  Some modules and tabs come back so we remove them again.  As part of our upgrade process we do a lot of checking before we make it available again.  I'm sure other sys admins can point out other items and settings that revert back also.  It is not unusual.

The Default Course Menu gets reset back to a default. You'll want to make note of the Default Course Menu settings before upgrading so you can replace them once the upgrade is complete.

Thanks, Glen
