--- Server: ?(?) | Client: Safari 2.x(MAC-OS 10.3) ---

I can't use BB with my Mac. I don't own a windows machine and I need to access my course information as soon as possible.
When will this be fixed?

Hi Mike,

Several of the Ask Dr C moderators use a Macintosh on a daily basis. I just updated my two systems to Mac OS X 10.5. FireFox 2.0 works fine on Leopard when accessing my institution's Vista 4.2 system.

Safari 3.0 is also supported with Vista 4.2/CE 6.2 with Service Pack 3. You will need to contact your institution's Blackboard (WebCT) administrator and ask when they plan to upgrade to Service Pack 3.

For Blackboard Learning Systems/Academic Systems 7.x-8.0, both FireFox 2.0 and Safari 3.0 have been working without problem on the system where I also teach.

Hope this helps...

Cheers,

Bob

This does not help. The WYSIWYG editor is crippled in Safari 4.x. You can fool Bb into thinking you have a "supported" client (e.g. Firefox 3.x) and after a stupid warning that states you must have Netscape x.x all but a few features work fine.
