Standards Import Format

I have created standards for assessments in Angel 7.4 Recently we decided to upgrade to 8.0 however instead of just upgrading, we are creating a new instance and retiring Angel 7.4.

My Question is how can I export the standards from 7.4 and Import them into 8.0?

Is there a way to query pending items in Angel 7.4

Outside of going into each assessment for a course, is there a way to query the db & return only items that are in a pending status.

Batch Content Migration

Hello,

I have a question about batch content migration in Angel 7.4. I have 500 semester master courses that I have instructors working on, on a virtual server because I want to keep them separate from the master's our live production server (due to quarter to semester conversion taking place).

However when they are finished with there semester masters, I want to then move them to the production server. From there I want to delete the old masters using batch delete out of production. ( the reason I am putting the semester masters on virtual server is to first save space on the production server and second to cease confusion). Is there a way to batch migrate all 500 of those semester master courses from my virtual environment and place them on the production server. Or will I have to do all 500 export/import processes individually?

Angel 7.4 and IPAD

When can we expect an APP for the IPAD? Right now it is really difficult to use Angel on the IPAD. I would love the convenience of using it rather than having to use my laptop.

Student has problem Composing a Message

I have a student that can open "Compose Message" and can select people to send the message to but is unable to type a message. It doesn't give a place to type the message (Doesn't have any of the font or size options at all). She is unable to do this on more than one computer. Is there something that I can do to help? No one else in the class is having a problem. Please help! :)

Angel Does not Support Cisco PacketTracer pkt file.

I am using Cisco Packet Tracer network Simulation Software version 5.3.1. When students upload a file with extension pka I can open it. However, if they upload pkt file I can not open it or even save it within Angel. I compressed the pkt file (zip) and upload the file into a drop box and I found I can unzip the pkt file and open the file within Angel? Is this a glitch in Angel?

Missing Task Icons

I partially know the answer to this question - but I don't know the full answer.

When there are too many courses in the Courses nugget, ANGEL will stop displaying the Task Icons on the ANGEL home page.

What is the number of characters allowed in the nugget and how would you begin to count them. I have a rather frustrated IT faculty member who wants to know the answer to that question.

When the Report for an ANGEL assessment shows "Resume", what does that mean? The test was set up for only 1 try with no backtrack, limited time, and automatically submit.

Automating a folder icon to change

Hello,

A few users have reported intermittent issues with viewing content in Internet Explorer 8. When they install Firefox, the content is visible with no problems. Has anyone else encountered this?

How can I generate an activity report for a student needing NCAA clearance?

We are a K-12 organization (Angel 7.4) and the NCAA Clearinghouse requires a lot of information for student athletes that have completed online courses. They require the student's name, the course that they were enrolled in, the start & end date of the course, the amount of time spent on each assignment completed and the grade for that assignment, and the student's overall grade. Is there anyone else that has issues with the NCAA Clearinghouse? Any insight on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Instructor Cannot See General Course Settings

Hello,

Any ideas as to why an instructor wouldn't be able to see the General Course Settings on the Manage tab? Her system role was Student, which I corrected to Faculty, but when I preview as her, I still cannot see the General Course Settings.

She is listed as instructor in the course, and her course permissions include General Course Settings. Removing the Course Settings component (nugget) and then reinstating it does nothing.

Am I missing something?

Increase File Size of Discussion Attachments

Does anyone know of an environment variable to increase the file size allowed for Discussion Forum attachments? We've found env vars for increasing the defaults on Course Mail and Drop Boxes, but not for Discussions. Either course-specific or system-wide is fine.
