I have a macbook pro, version 10.5.8 and safari version 4.0.4

when i use the check browser, it says my browser is not supported, so i went to see what browsers were supported and only earlier versions of safari are tested as certified.

i can see blackboard and download things from it. will i be running into problems down the road?

how is it possible for me to have the newest and most updated versions, but only the older ones are supported?

I have done everything possible in order to get my browser working but no can do. I haven't been given the right tools to fix this problem. The solution that the blackboard helper gives does not help at all. All programs in my computer are up to date and still nothing.

I keep getting the following error message:

Hi, I just recently purchased a new Mac and it's version 10.7.4 which is Lion and not Snow Leopard. Apparently, Blackboard hasn't tested anything for the new system. I've tried to access Blackboard with my current version of Safari but I can't access it because it keeps saying that its not validated or it's not supported. I've downloaded an older version of firefox but for some reason when I check to see if it's compatible the window doesn't say the browser is good enough. I was wondering if there was a way to fix this and how to access Blackboard on this computer? Any help would be great.

I closed navigation frame down and now can't get it back.

Hi can anyone help.

I logged onto Blackboard, then clicked My Courses.

In here down the left hand side is a navigation pane that has pages such as Announcements, My Grades...etc

However I accidentally clicked a left arrow which minised this pane. Now all I can see is the initial annoucements screen and can't access all the other pages within Blackboard that house lecture notes...etc.

Please can you help, I have a feeling that altering the URL at the top of the screen could make it re-appear but that's just a guess.

Change from old to new Blackboard 9.1

It has come to my attention that once the new blackboard 9.1 has been integrated into our university, the notification dashboard does not include a 'comments' section. Therefore when an instructor makes a comment to a student, the student has to go into each section of each module that they have completed in order to see IF there has been feedback. Is it possible, and where can I, make a suggestion to the blackboard technical staff to implement this change on the notification dashboard? My university offers zero assistance.

I can send Bb email on my iPone but not on my iPad 2

I have an iPhone and an iPad 2, both with iOS 5. I have no problem sending Bb email to my students using Safari on my iPhone, but I can not do the same on my iPad. When I attempt to do it on my iPad, I get as far as selecting the recipients, but when I click on the done button, the message window closes leaving the select recipients window open. Any suggestions? (Bb learning system 8)

Login Failure

So up until very recently I have been using the Blackboard system with no issues.

My browser must have updated itself and this system is either slow to update itself or simply incompatible with the newest version of Firefox because suddenly I am getting browser issues when the Blackboard system checks.

So I tried a new browser, Internet Explorer which I had on my system but never use, and it tells me my Login information is incorrect, which doesn't make sense because that i haven't changed. When I tried to get them to send me my password, it has no record of my email address.

So yes, I am having a few dozen issues. Any help would be appreciated.

Plug-in Failure?

Hey guys,

Whenever I try to access certain pages in Blackboard, I will always encounter this error message, "Plug-in Failure", and the page will just be blank. I'm using a Mac OS Lion. A check with the browser tune-up shows that aside from Safari being unvalidated, everything else is in order.

Any ideas?

Disabling Browser Check?

Is there any way for me as a user to turn off the annoying Browser Check popup in VISTA 8?

I'm using FF 6 and it has been giving me the popup nearly every time I have logged on for the past year (so, also in FF 4 and 5 over 3 different computer systems I use). If I have Java disabled it pops up every time (I'd prefer my browser to be secure, and the Java features just slow down (or freeze) VISTA with features that I never use).

I'm tired of this and am just looking for any solution as to how I can permanently get rid of that useless window, but the way that VISTA is coded I can't even figure out what I would have to block in my popup/adblocker in order to kill the window.

Where do I ask A Question? That is not easy to figure out. Is this the righ

This is ridiculous. It is taking me 30 minutes to figure out where to ask my question amd I am not real sure this is the right place. I do not know what version I am using and do not know where to look..it's not right out there.

Mac Technical Issues

I'm having issues with Java and Bb. I check browser and it tells me that Java is not installed. But I can see it else where. Because Bb can't see it, many features aren't working like HTML Creator.

Researching it, it seems like Java updated recently, end of May, and Bb hasn't caught up. Because Macs update Java automatically there is no way within my technical skills, to go back to an old version that Bb will recognize.

Will Bb be updating soon so that they are up to date with Macs?
