If you are on a very slow network connection uploading a large amount of data, then this might mean you need either a faster connection.

Several background processes by default kick off at midnight. Especially if the databases are huge, then resources compete to finish. The system administrator can stagger these so they are not all running at once or even later in the morning.

An intense network spike such as conduction backups could saturate the network so the web servers are slower than normal talking to the database servers.

On top of that, I also find that if I try to change course content (like modify or create an assignment) I get an error and it tells me to try again later.

It's always after midnight that this occurs.

Any ideas?

Thanks
