SCORM 1.2 Course will not Re-Open in WebCT

We have a 3rd party SCORM 1.2 course that loads and opens in WebCT Vista for the first time. However, when you try to re-launch the course, the message 'length is null or not an object' is displayed and the course will not open.

We have run a non SCORM version of the same course and then it does re-open, (but then obviously there would be no bookmarking or tracking). The developers have checked the SCORM 1.2 code through a SCORM checker and maintain that it is fine. We also know that this course runs on many different SCORM LMS's and Moodle.

We are wondering if it is something to do with the suspend data or some 'special characters' that WebCT is objecting to. Has anyone ever experienced this kind of problem, or message, or something similar? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
