Yes, this is a big problem. This happened to me also. It's a big problem b/c the student has access to another student's work.

Unfortunately I do not know of any way to take back a returned paper or a way to hide it from the student.

There may be a way to go in at the server level to do something like this but I would not know where even to begin looking.

We're on Vista 8. In the Assignment tool, a faculty member graded and returned a paper to the wrong student. Is there a way to take it back or somehow hide the paper from the student who should not see it?
