So I registered for a class at Santa Ana College, and it turns out that the professor sent a couple of notifications to the class already. I log into blackboard and my external email account, but I see no announcements from the professor anywhere. I played around with the notification settings on Blackboard, but nothing seemed to work. Does anyone know what I can do?
Sorry to hear about the troubles. There are a few ways that instructors can communicate with students. If the instructor posted an announcement, you should see that upon logging in and entering Blackboard and accessing the course. If the instructor emailed you through Blackboard, this would be sent to the email that is attached to your profile. Some colleges, like the one I work at populate campus email accounts for students automatically so email is sent to the college account rather than a personal external email. So that may be an area to check to see if there is another email account that is registered with your Blackboard login.
Finally, it may be a good idea to reach out to your instructor to let them know that you haven't received any recent messages and to ensure the lines of communication are open.
