I know adaptive release can be used to hide content until criteria are met, but can the reverse be true?  I have an item that serves as a reminder within the content.  I'd like it to go away once they have reviewed the item in question.  Does that work in 9.1?

Amy,

There's no significant change to adaptive release in 9.1, and the criteria are still based on making the item visible when particular conditions are met, not on hiding it when certain conditions are met.

Hi Amy - I read on the listserv where someone was doing this and also showed how it could be accomplished (with some manual work). You can create an extra column in the grade center (not calculated into the score) and manipulate it to "hide" an item. For example, if you want something hidden, create a grade column and give everyone a 0 (zero). Go to the item in the course and adaptive release it when the score is 1 (for example). Since everyone has a 0 they won't see it. Once they do whatever activity (maybe in another grade column), you can then manually change their grade in the other column from the 0 to 1...then the item will show for them.

You may also be able to tweak this method for what you are needing.
