Is there a way to add images into a Test question? The Test and Survey question fields do not seem to have the full visual text editor that is found in other tool within the site.
Bill,
If you click on the "Question Settings" box in the righthand corner of the test canvas (before you edit specific questions), you will see settings to display all kinds of options when creating the test questions, including attaching images, files, and web links to questions and answers, awarding partial credit (and negative scoring starting in SP8), entering feedback for individual answers, and so forth. I believe the idea for the "Question Settings" (way back when) was to avoid cluttering up the question editing screens with all kinds of options that the instructor didn't actually want to use, but it's not particularly intuitive.
However, if you turn on the option for attaching images, files, web links, that doesn't re-enable that bottom toolbar in the text editor to embed the images and files in the text. Rather, it gives an option to "attach" them at the bottom of the question/answer--again, that's related to the "Question Settings" mechanism left over from the old days. I believe this is changed with the new text editor that's coming out sometime this summer--that should allow you to embed images whether you're editing a content item or a test question.

I do it manually by inserting an image tag using the HTML editor. The image address is the "Permanent URL" thet you find when you edit the image file's properties in the file manager.
Hope this helps

Thanks Shawn. That what we ended up doing. I was just hoping for an easier way, one all faculty could comfortably do.
