Today is my 1st day exploring 9.1, and I am totally confused. Don't have the overview (workflow) of what is what. There is Content Collection, but don't know how to use it. My assumption will be that I can create folders here, one for each course, and link to the contents of these folders in my course homepage. This way, if the file changes, all the students from various sections will see the files right away. In old eLearning, it was the Template. Is there any such thing here too. Also, is there any overview of the whole system (more like a flow chart) for the faculty / designer? The classes start soon, so am panicking a bit. Thanks.
In general, Content Collection is a place for you to store files that you want to share among several classes. However, you generally link to specific files from the courses, not to the folders.
I don't have any experience with eLearning--if your school switched from eLearning to Blackboard, you might contact the help desk to see if they have any documentation specifically about the differences between the two systems. Otherwise, you may find the documentation and tutorials at Blackboard On Demand (http://ondemand.blackboard.com/) to be helpful.
