I've been pouring over the snapshot documentation, batch user load, hierarchy administration and can find nothing that indicates if the node association can be included when a user is added to the system except if I use the GUI.  Does anyone know how this might be accomplished through a batch process.

Thanks,

  Robert

Robert,

You cannot add a hierarchy node association to a user or course when creating them via the command-line snapshot tool, or with a batch file (i.e. Admin Panel > Users > Batch Actions > Create Users).   The Institutional Hierarchy is a new feature, and you can only add a person or course to a node via the GUI, or with the new Data Integration framework that's configured through the Admin Panel (under Building Blocks).

You might have a look in this thread, where we were discussing (trying to figure out, really) how to add nodes via the data integration tools: http://discussions.blackboard.com/forums/p/52346/161268.aspx#161268
