hi All,
We were just wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to copy an MCQ from so that it can be printed or saved for instance.
Thanks and Kind Regards,
Gráinne
What is it that you need to do with the question? There isn't really a "printable view" of tests in Blackboard, unless you simply preview the test as if you were taking it and then cut and paste or take a screenshot.
Some instructors like Respondus (http://www.respondus.com) for creating tests to be used in Blackboard. Many people find the question editing to be easier to use, and it also allows you to create printable versions of tests, but I don't know if it will import tests or test questions originally created in Blackboard.

hi Mike,
Thanks for that.
No, all the user really wants to do is copy a complete MCQ to a printable doc easily.
Kind Regards,
In that case, I think all they can do is to open the test as if they were taking it and cut and paste into a Word file. That actually seems to work pretty well for printing MCQs, but it's not something you can import back in to Blackboard.
Thanks again.
Yes, just hoped there might be a quicker way.
We ask staff not to copy MCQs directly from Word in Bb as the formatting can cause issues. Bb advised us not to either.
That's right, it's definitely not a good idea to copy directly from Word into Blackboard. Copying from Blackboard into Word should be OK, though.
It appears that you actually can us Respondus to import the test questions from Blackboard and make printable versions: http://newsletter.respondus.com/december-2011/retrieve-exams/
