Does anyone know if I am able to have letters instead of numbers as points in an assignment? I am trying to give the assignment the grading choice of S or U. Can I do that?

Thanks,

jj

Jj,

If you want to display grades as an "S" or "U", you'll need to set up a grading schema that maps "S" and "U" to specific percentages, similar to the "Letter" schema except with only two values, and use that as the primary display.  However, the underlying assignment will still be stored and calculated based on numeric points--it has to be, in order to do calculations like totals.  You will also be able to enter grades from the grade center view as "S" or "U", but that grade will actually be stored as a numberic score based on the number of points the assignment is worth and the percentages assigned by your grading schema.
