Blackboard learn doesnt play the video files in the course content. I can see pdfs, word docs, and powerpoint slides BUT no videos.
The Admin can view the videos using the "Student" id, but not the student(s).
Note: Java is updated, IE 9.0, Windows 7, Adobe flash is updated 11.2.202. Right clicking on the screen (movie not loaded msg).
To recreate this problem, step by step;
1. Student login to blackboard learn
2. Select the Lesson
3. Select Folder View
4. Learning Modules
6. Video lecture1
7. Select, no video isplayed.
8. Right-Clicking with mouse on the screen - diplay msg is "movie not loaded", adobe flash version 11.2.202.
Since you've posted in the student area, are you an admin or a student?
There are many different possible ways to post videos in Blackboard. How were these videos posted, and what format are they in?
I am a Student. (The admin reported no problems, even when logged in as student).
I have copied the link, BBL is trying to execute. (i kept the session open for 7mins, but the video didnt load).
We at Dr. Cs are not connected to your school, and have no access to the materials on your school's Blackboard server.
Generally, though, video playback depends on having the right browser plugins on your web browser to view the particular video format that has been posted. Since the administrator is able to access the course and view the files, he or she should be able to help you determine what browser plugins are necessary to view these particular video files.
PS: I also notice from the link that this particular video is set up to open in a new window, so if you have a pop-up blocker turned on, that might prevent you from seeing the video as well.
