System: Learn 9.1 SP8

How can we remove the link to "Change Password" from the Personal Information page?

We have already locked down student's ability to change their password under Edit Personal information. But they are still able to click the Change Password link and enter a password. It has no effect on their password but we anticipate frustration for the students and help desk calls for us.

annette,

Look under "Admin Panel > Privileges".  Edit the "My Places > Personal Information > Change Password" privilege (search for "password" to find it) and set it to "Unavailable".

These steps don't seem to work for SP7. Is it possible to do this in SP7?

Georgette,

I'm doing it in SP7HF1, and I don't think it's very different from SP7.  What portion of these steps does not work?   If you're trying to search for "password" under Privileges and not getting anything, make sure you delete the space that Blackboard always seems to stick in the front of the search term...

instead you can try by going to system role "None" and edit there, that's what i did regarding this issue, this is just for students
