I understand how the Blog and Journal tools differ with the key difference being that the Journal can be private between the instructor and student. But I don't see any difference between how the Group Blog and Group Journal tools work? They look identical except for how the posts are displayed/ styled. I was surprised to find that all users in a group can see the journals. What is the difference, can anyone explain?

We are on Bb Learn 9.1 SP7

Thanks,

Bill

Bill,

With group blogs and group journals, the group replaces the individual student.  Beyond that, the distinction is the same: By default, no one except group members and the instructor can see the group journal, but everyone in the class can see the group blog.
