I currently use mozilla firefox 11 with all the plugin updates, but for some reason in my blackboard the menu is hidden.  Is there any way to fix this problem?

I'm having the same problem.  I think it's because of my Firefox 11.  I went to the browser check, and it says I have an unsupported browser.  Anyone have any thoughts?  I would like a blackboard representative to chime in, because this is unacceptable.

My java works fine, pop ups are unblocked, everything is fine except i have firefox 11.  we need additional browser support.

I know about the arrow and it's not the arrow thing.

kevin,

There isn't a built-in browser checker in current versions of Blackboard.  If your school's Blackboard server has a browser checker, it means that either your school is still using Blackboard CE/Vista (and older version which does have a browser checker) or the school has installed a local browser checker to let user know what browsers are compatible with the version of Blackboard that's being used at your school.  You need to contact the school about support for Firefox 11 on your school's server.  But FF11 has been out for less than a week, so don't be surprised if they haven't had a chance to test it on the Blackboard version that they're using.

A list of officially supported browser and OS versions for each Blackboard version is available at http://kb.blackboard.com/display/IDSR/Student+and+Faculty+Support+Resource+Center.   For the most recent Blackboard version, Firefox's "Final Release Channel" is supported.  It says "Both Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox have moved to a rapid release cycle.  At the time of testing, Chrome 10.0 and Firefox 4.0 were the latest available versions.  Since then, new stable versions have been released and widely adopted.  Blackboard is supporting all newer stable versions of Chrome and Firefox."

PS: For what it's worth, I just upgraded from Firefox 10 to Firefox 11, and course menus are working fine in the last couple of Blackboard versions with FF11.
