Hey guys,

Whenever I try to access certain pages in Blackboard, I will always encounter this error message, "Plug-in Failure", and the page will just be blank. I'm using a Mac OS Lion. A check with the browser tune-up shows that aside from Safari being unvalidated, everything else is in order.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Daryl,

What's on these pages where you're getting these errors?  Are you trying to open PDF files, perhaps?  There are problems with new Safari versions not having a plugin to display PDF files.

We've seen this failure to load issue with both PC and MAC users, though the Plug-in Failure error message was specific to MAC users. The issue lies within Blackboard 9.1.6 and is supposed to be addressed by certain patches they have released. If these patches have not been installed, request your support department, to re-establish the item's link and set the item to open in a new page. This can occur with both files and URL's.
