Hello,
I just started a new semester at school and come to find out they updated the Bb system. I'm able to log-in to BB, but when I go to view lectures all i get is "Missing Plug-In." I click on the link and it tells me that I'm missing Adobe Reader. I went to the Adobe Reader site and downloaded the laster version and still receive the "Missing Plug-In" link. What plug-ins are necessary to use Bb 9.1 to its full potential.
I use Safari for web browser, but Occasionally i use Firefox.
I'm also using Mac 10.6.8.
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
Dustin,
I've heard lots of reports of difficulties opening PDF files from Blackboard on a Mac. There seems to be a change in the way that PDFs are linked in the most recent version that causes problems for the standard Adobe plug-in on Mac. Can you save the file to your computer and open it directly with Adobe, rather than trying to open it from within the browser?
Mike
Acualy, no I do not even have the option to save it. But, after much, much research and trying different plugins. I found a plugin at
http://www.schubert-it.com/pluginpdf/ This plugin allows me to view the pdf file, and it gives me the option to save it and open it in adobe reader.
