How do you delete a test bank (the different chapters) from an existing Blackboard 9.1 course?

Diana,

I can't tell from your description whether you're talking about a question pool, a test, or a test that's been deployed somewhere in the course.

If it's a question pool or test that has not been deployed in the course yet, you can delete it by going to "Control Panel > Course Tools > Tests, Surveys and Pools", then choose "Tests" or "Pools", then "Delete" from the pull-down menu next to the name.

If it's a test that's been deployed somewhere in the course, go the content area where it's been deployed and select "Delete" form the pull-down menu next to the test name.  You may also be asked at that point whether you want to preserve grades if the test has already been taken by students.

Does that help?

You can also go to the Control Panel > Packages and Utilities > Bulk Delete and select the Tests, Survey, and Pools option.

Some times the pull-down menu does not give you the Delete option if you try to delete a dupliacte item under Pools. It gives only " Edit, Export and Copy" options. Any suggestions. Thanks

Srini,

If you do not have a "Delete" option for a pool, it usually means that questions from that pool are being used in a test.
