We are currently testing 9.1 SP5.

In 9.0 .txt file stubs are generated when batch downloading assignments from the Grade Centre, if students had written in the Comments or Submission boxes when submitting.

.txt files seem to be generated in 9.1 automatically even if students haven't written in these boxes. Is this expected behaviour or bug? I can't find it on the list of Known issues in the BB Maintenance wiki.

Thanks

Roger

Roger,

I believe that it's expected behavior.  Even if the student did not make a comment, the .txt file isn't empty--it includes other information about the specific assignment attempt, such as the student's name, the date and time it was submitted, whether there's a current grade, and what files were attached to the attempt.  This makes it easier to manage assignments when multiple attempts are allowed.
