i cannot access PDF files on blackboard. it freezes up my computer is there somehthing i need to do please help because i really need these files for my classes

We have seen this too from time to time on our campus. You may try: 1) updating your version of Adobe Acrobat, and/or 2) Downloading the PDF to your desktop and them opening it.

Has your course instructor set them up to open inside the BB frame or as a new window. Post a message to your lecturer requesting that they open them in new windows.
Is it a pop-up blocker stopping it from opening, perhaps?
