Greetings,
I've setup an exam in Blackboard that most of my students have taken.
I can make the exam available so that students can view the exam questions, their answers, and the correct answers.
How can I prevent students that missed taking the exam by the deadline from taking the exam after that deadline, while at the same time allowing access to the students that completed the exam before the deadline?
Hi NC - you can set the display until in the test options. As long as students get into the test (click the link and start the test) before the link goes away (based on the display until settings) then students will be able to complete the test. Blackboard won't shut the test down at that time, just the link to it.
hope that helps.

NC - Paige is right, you can set the "Display until" setting under the test option to keep students from taking the exam after a certain date and time. After that date, students will no longer have access to the link that allows them to take the test, but students who have taken the exam will still be able to see their exam results by looking under "My Grades".

N C - what they see depends upon the feedback options you set in the test options. If you don't check correct answer, then they won't see the correct answer. If you only want them to see the grade, then only check show grade. This will prevent them from being able to go into the test.
I've been using "display until" but I would disable it after I finished grading the test so that students could see their answers and the correct answers for the test.
So, now I understand that regardless of whether I have enabled "display until," students can see the questions, their answers and the correct answers under "My Grades."
Is there a way to see what students see under "My Grades"?
Is there a way to not let students see the correct answers for a test under "My Grades"?
Okay. There was no indication that items under "Test options > Test Feedback" also control how much is listed for a test under My Grades.
Thanks to you both.
