A student stopped by my office and informed me she was unable to post replies to the discussion board in her class. I thought this might just be an instructor problem (we had one instructor that forgot to make it available to her students), but she logged in and showed me several responses from students and instructor. She attempted to post and received the following error.

courseID={unset id}

For reference, the Error ID is a45d3458-ef84-4b0d-a128-65f94d15b643.

EDIT: Sorry, forgot to include the version and such. Using Blackboard 9.1 Enterprise on Windows 7 or XP.

I went in and verified her role in the system but couldn't find any reason for the error. Any thoughts on something to try?

Hi Adam,

You might try an correlate that Error ID string with a timestamped entry in the bb-services-log.txt to get a better idea of what the actual underlying problem is, but I suspect Glen's right, and you will have to have Blackboard support look at it.

Hi Adam,

I have not seen that before.  You should send this information to the system administrator of your Blackboard system, and they can work with Blackboard support to determine what is going on.

Thanks, Glen
