We just upgraded to 9.1 on Monday.  In checking out the system I noticed a couple things in the Learning Module:

  1. Using and External Link page - the link automatically opens and takes the viewer away from the Learning Module page.
  2. Link to the Discussion Board - Again, the link automatically takes the view directly into the forum.  Any prompt or instructions on the page in the learning unit are lost.
  3. Links to Assignments - Like the above, instead of going to a page that can link to the assignment tool, the page automatically launches the assignment tool.
  4. How does one turn off the auto-linking in 9.1
  5. In edit mode, I cannot see the images on the page that I am able to see when viewing the page outside of edit mode.

Thanks for your help.

Hi David,

We are seeing the same thing.  We have submitted a ticket with Bb support.  #668350 is our ticket.

Learning modules in 9.1 are a popup nightmare, I agree.

Sincerely,

Eric

I agree, if you or your college ends up submitting a ticket at http://behind.blackboard.com - let me know?  I'll add your case ID # to my ticket as well.

We are seeing the same issues in our new install of 9.1 with learning modules.

Additionally, quizzes/tests inside the module automatically kick students back to page 1 of the module after submitting. If there are additional pages after the quiz, students will probably miss them.

If we submit a ticket for these issues, how do we include information from other Bb 9.1 users to piggyback on the same concerns? I'm new to this process.

Sharon,

If you are submitting a ticket and want to "piggyback" on other users' concerns, just mention their ticket numbers when submitting yours.  It also helps make sure the folks at Blackboard who are evaluating the ticket are aware of previous work that's been done on the problem, and the number of customers who are reporting it.
