Common Cartridge Support for Blackboard Campus Edition 8

Hi,

We have a course in IMS Common Cartridge (CC) v1.0 format. We would like to know if Blackbkoard Campus Edition supports IMS CC. If not, is there any plans to support IMS CC in future.

Hi Nilesh,

Blackboard (WebCT) Vista 8/Campus Edition 8 have reached "end of life" with no new development, only a few more maintenance releases.

I understand the "NextGen" version, Blackboard Learn 9.x will be supporting the IMS Common Cartridge format. The president of Blackboard Learn, Ray Henderson has been a driving force behind the IMS Common Cartridge specifications, so it will likely appear in an upcoming release of Blackboard Learn 9.x.

in this case the only way would be to convert the the common cartrige package into the native LMS format.

Will surely wait for the next release of Blackboard Learn platform supporting IMS CC specifications...

Thank you for your support and quick responses to our query. BB 9.x do provide support for IMS Common Cartridge as well as Angel. However, i would like to know whether these also support the roles metadata.
